Our beloved son Joshua Michael Surbaugh passed away on March 6, 2023, at the young age of 33 after a long courageous fight with cancer.
Josh completed his bachelor's degree in finance at Marshall University. Although graduating from Marshall, Josh was a diehard WVU fan.
Josh was working at the Toyota plant in Buffalo, WV when he was first diagnosed in February 2020. He loved his crew members and would talk about them often.
He appreciated everybody's friendship.
Josh was also an avid movie goer. He loved his movies especially with his side kicks Robert and Annie.
Josh loved sports and played them quite well. He was an accomplished bowler too. He bowled a "300" and 800" series while still in his youth league. Baseball was another sport he loved with accomplishing throwing two "no hitters”. One was at Watt Powell Park and the other one at Appalachian Power Park. Josh had a passion for collecting Funko pops and was an avid sneaker head with his brother and best friend, Lewis Edens. This became his hobby after he was diagnosed.
Josh is preceded in death by his beloved Grandmother Marcella (Tiny) Surbaugh and Grandfather Kermit C. Miller all of Charleston.
Josh is survived by his father Michael Surbaugh of Charleston and Mother Vicki Maxwell and niece Railyn also of Charleston.
Brother Lewis Edens wife Melissa and son Landon Edens. Sister Elizabeth White and her 3 children Kaci, Grace and Faith and husband Steven White. Grandmother, Margaret Miller of Dunbar, WV and Grandfather, Thomas Surbaugh of Charleston.
Aunt Kathy Quesnell of Sterling, VA. Sons Paul (PJ) Quesnell of Wairoa, New Zealand and Carl Quesnell and wife Priya Quesnell of Chevy Chase, MD.
Uncle Mike and Aunt Barbara Burdette of Charleston. His cousin, Andrew, who was as close as his brother, and his wife Danielle Burdette and their 3 children Greyson, Sophia and Emmie of Scott Depot, WV and his many bowling friends.
Last but not least, his beloved fur babies Sadie girl and Tinker.
